POLICE were this morning carrying out door-to-door enquiries in an Ipswich road after a man was stabbed and a man held police at bay in a dramatic stand-off.
Doctors were today due to assess the condition of a 28-year-old man who witnesses say was stabbed with a pair of scissors in Norwich Road yesterday afternoon.
A 33-year-old Ipswich man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a 45-minute stand-off in the road was due to be questioned by officers today.
A 41-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, were also due to be questioned.
Police were called shortly after 5pm yesterday following reports a man had been stabbed.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but he remained in hospital today.
