POLICE are appealing for information after two inmates absconded from Hollesley Bay prison.James Thomas Smith, 28, and Darren Mellor, 27 were discovered missing at 5pm yesterday.
POLICE are appealing for information after two inmates absconded from Hollesley Bay prison.
James Thomas Smith, 28, and Darren Mellor, 27 were discovered missing at 5pm yesterday.
Smith, who was serving two-and-a-half-years for house burglary, is white and of heavy build, while Mellor, who was serving four months for driving while disqualified, is white, around 5ft 9ins and wears glasses.
Both men have connections to the Norwich area.
Anyone who spots Smith or Mellor has been advised by police not to approach them but to alert officers immediately by calling 999.
Anyone who may have already seen them, or who may have information about where they are now, should call Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or contact their nearest police station.
