A 43-year-old man is still in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed in Lowestoft town centre.

Police are renewing their appeals for information after they were called to the Laziza Tandoori in London Road South at 4.15pm yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Terry Jones said police would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

"We would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone entering or leaving the shop during the afternoon," he said.

The man needed surgery for several serious stab wounds and his condition has still not stabilised.
