POLICE are hunting a thug who used a metal bar to attack a man in Ipswich town centre.The attack happened when the 31-year-old victim was walking along Tavern Street with friends at about 9.
POLICE are hunting a thug who used a metal bar to attack a man in Ipswich town centre.
The attack happened when the 31-year-old victim was walking along Tavern Street with friends at about 9.35pm on Sunday.
When the group walked past two men one of the pair spat at them. An argument followed and one of the men walked off but returned with a metal bar. He struck the man causing a head wound.
Officers are now searching for the attacker as well as anyone who saw what happened.
The man was of mixed race, about 18 years old, 5ft 8in tall, with short black hair. He was clean shaven and was wearing a grey top and dark trousers.
After the attack he left the area and headed toward the Old Cattle Market.
