Police investigate assault on teenager
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old woman was physically assaulted.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old woman was physically assaulted.
The attack happened when the woman was walking through a grassy area near Beaver Close in Colchester at 3am on Saturday.
A man approached her and assaulted her before running off.
Investigating Officer, Ds Mark Merry, said: “This appears to have been a nasty attack on a young woman. We are continuing to ascertain exactly what has happened and would like assistance from people who may have seen this incident.”
The man is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, of stocky build, approximately 5'7” tall, has dark-coloured hair and was wearing a plain-blue top and blue jeans.
The woman, who lives in the town, is now recovering at home. She did not require hospital treatment.
