The two 15-year-old boys were hit by a car in Ipswich during a horrific sequence of events which began with a domestic dispute.
Scott Towler, from Ipswich died soon after the incident at 12.40pm on Friday.
His friend, Dean Bloomfield, also from Ipswich, was taken to hospital suffering multiple injuries but died at 9.30am on Saturday.
A 33-year-old man is being held by police over the incident.
