FELIXSTOWE: Police are renewing appeals to find a man who has been missing since leaving a guesthouse at the end of December.

Enquiries are continuing to trace the man, who signed in only as 'Daniel', who left the premises around 4pm on December 30 and has not been seen at the guesthouse since.

He left a rucksack containing clothing behind.

Now police are issuing photographs of the rucksack and some of the clothing in a bid to see if anyone has information that may help officers trace him.

Police were contacted on January 2 by the owner of the guesthouse, who was concerned for Daniel's well being.

He had originally checked in on December 15 and said he would be staying until New Year, paying cash to the owner for the accommodation.

He did not give any other personal details - no home address, phone number or surname - and there was nothing to identify him in the rucksack, but he is thought to be aged in his late teens to early 20s and is described as white, around 5ft 8ins - 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with straight ginger coloured hair and a thick ginger beard.

He wore jeans, a blue and white quilted-style lumberjack shirt and a blue baseball cap.

Enquiries are being made to gather any further information that may help identify him, or find where he is now.

Officers are continuing to ask him to come forward and are also urging anyone who may have information that can help locate him to call the duty sergeant at Felixstowe Police Station on 01473 613500.
