POLICE officers investigating a robbery on a woman in Ipswich have issued an E-FIT of a man they are trying to trace.

The incident happened on Wednesday at about 4.25pm in Netley Close.

The 55-year-old female was at her home address when she answered the door to a male who bundled her back into her house and pushed her to the floor.

She then heard other voices and was held face down on the floor as the man demanded she hand over her car keys.

The victim then saw two other men and the three who took her handbag, containing the car keys, before fleeing the address and stealing her car from outside her home.

The terrified woman was left shaken but uninjured. The stolen car is described as a silver 320I SE BMW, valued at 18,400 with the registration number YH56 KRE, although it is possible it is now being used on false number plates.

The first male, depicted in the E-FIT is described as mixed race or tanned, believed to be in his early 20s, about 5ft 10in, slim to medium build.

He was wearing a dark coloured lightweight hip length coat with a large hood, which was up, and a light coloured scarf covering most of his face.

The other two males also wore dark coloured clothing with their hoods up and scarves over their faces. One was about 5ft 10in and the other was about 6ft tall.

If you think you recognise the male from the E-FIT likeness or the males in the description, or if you have any information in relation to this incident, please contact DS Darren Bruce at Ipswich CID on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
