POLICE are renewing an appeal for witnesses to a road traffic accident which left a woman in intensive care.

The accident happened at around 9.20pm on Tuesday September 18 on the A143 at Great Barton.

POLICE are renewing an appeal for witnesses to a road traffic accident which left a woman in intensive care.

The accident happened at around 9.20pm on Tuesday September 18 on the A143 at Great Barton. A dark coloured vehicle believed to be a series five BMW stopped just north of the accident and another car also stopped and put its hazard lights on.

Police are keen to talk to the drivers of these two vehicles. The driver of the Escort involved in the crash was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where she remains in intensive care. Her condition is said to be stable.
