POLICE hunting a masked gunman who shot at a Suffolk police officer were sifting through interview reports after setting up checkpoints in Stradbroke.

More than a dozen officers were involved in a two-hour operation – exactly a week after a sawn-off shotgun was fired at the 31-year-old police constable based at Eye.

More than a dozen officers were involved in a two-hour operation – exactly a week after a sawn-off shotgun was fired at the 31-year-old police constable based at Eye.

He was investigating an anonymous call from a member of the public reporting suspicious movements of white a Citroen car in Wilby Road, Stradbroke on March 12, at about 8.20 pm.
