Police stop traffic to help fear for welfare incident

Traffic was temporarily stopped across the Orwell Bridge in Ipswich this afternoon due to a fear for welfare incident.

Suffolk police were called to reports of concern for a person seen on the bridge at around 3pm.

Officers were required to stop eastbound traffic for a short time, but have since left the scene.
