SUFFOLK police will be bringing a bit of festive cheer to children in hospital before Christmas.
For the fourth year the force will collect Christmas presents from businesses and the public to hand out to children in Ipswich Hospital to lift their spirits.
The gifts, which must be new, will be given to children from as young as a few days old to 18 year olds on Friday, December 21.
Soft toys are not suitable but toys which make a noise or have flashing lights are particularly welcome as are dressing up items, dolls, prams, cars, tractors and anything to do with Thomas the Tank Engine.
Last year more than 100 presents were donated.
Anyone wishing to give a gift should take the present into any Suffolk police station. They will then be forwarded to community support officers Kevin Smith and Michelle Malster at Ipswich police station who will take the gifts to hospital.
