Police warning after conman steals cash

POLICE are today warning people to be on guard following a distraction burglary in Little Blakenham.

A workman knocked on the door of an elderly couple's property in The Com and said he was working at a neighbour's houseand needed to inspect their house.

POLICE are today warning people to be on guard following a distraction burglary in Little Blakenham.

A workman knocked on the door of an elderly couple's property in The Com and said he was working at a neighbour's house following a burst water main and needed to inspect their house.

The elderly couple allowed the man in to their home and after he had left they noticed that cash and credit cards had been stolen.

Anyone who noticed anybody acting suspiciously in the area should contact Suffolk police on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
