SUFFOLK today gave a resounding "no" to declaring war against Iraq and Saddam Hussein.

SUFFOLK today gave a resounding "no" to declaring war against Iraq and Saddam Hussein.

As Tony Blair continues to back US president George W Bush's hard-line stance against Saddam, an Evening Star poll of 1,000 residents in three towns in the county revealed six out of ten people said they would not back any US-led action against the Iraqi tyrant.

Of those who expressed an opinion, 41 per cent supported going to war.
