IPSWICH: One of the most prominent caf� bar restaurants in Ipswich town centre is up for sale, it emerged today.

The Summerhouse is situated on the corner of The Walk and the Buttermarket, close to the Cornhill and other town centre bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment.
The lease of the bar, which has operated under various guises in the past, is being made available from joint agents EWS of Ipswich and Fleurets.
Offers are being invited while the business continues trading.
Tony Wheeler of Fleurets East Anglia office said: “This is an excellent opportunity to secure a key pitch in the centre of this growing university town.
“The Summerhouse trades seven days a week, drawing trade from office workers and shoppers, as well as from the evening circuit.

“Trade is currently split 50/50 between bar and food sales, and it offers a great opportunity for an experienced operator.”
The bar occupies the ground floor and basement of a three-storey building opposite the main entrance to the Buttermarket Shopping Centre.
