The driver of a Porsche 944 sports car has been charged with causing the death of a 44-year-old woman following a head-on crash on the A143 at Thurlow, near Haverhill.
Rhodie Povey, 26, of High Street, Stansfield, near Bury St Edmunds, is accused of causing the death of Jane Gatt by dangerous driving. The dead woman, who lived in the Haverhill area, was driving a Citroen Saxo car when the accident happened on May 5 this year.
She died of her injuries at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. Two other people travelling in the Saxo, a man and a woman, were badly hurt in the collision.
Mr Povey will appear before St Edmundsbury magistrates on October 14.
