POLICE hunting a masked rapist today said they have had a positive response from the public in their quest to find him.

Today more officers made house to house enquires in the area in their bid to gather more information from the public and a special incident room has been set up at Ipswich police station.

More than 10 detectives are working on the case, and today at least two officers were knocking on doors in the Pelican Close area near to where the rape took place.

A forensic team has been combing the home of the victim, for any clues which might lead them to her attacker.

Detectives have said it is too early to rule out the possibility that the victim may have known her attacker or that she may have been stalked over a period of time.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "At this stage in our investigations we can not rule anything out and are looking at all probabilities.
