IT IS almost here – the long-awaited latest adventures of Harry, Hagrid, Hermione and Dumbledore.

And as the world prepares for a new outbreak of Pottermania, The Evening Star is offering one of its readers a unique chance to put a little bit of magic on their bookshelf.

The new blockbuster from J.K.Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is published on Saturday – and there hasn't been this level of interest in a new book since the Goblet of Fire was published three years ago.

We've linked up with Tesco to give away a rare signed copy of the book – J.K.Rowling is famous for not normally signing her books.

We've also linked up with WH Smith to give away five of the books which will be on sale from first thing on Saturday.

Like several other bookshops, WH Smith in Ipswich will be opening specially at midnight so young fans (and not so young fans) can get their hands on it at the earliest possible minute.

Other stores, like Asda and Tesco, are open 24-hours anyway.

Magpie Books in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, will be the town's earliest openers when they start selling the new Harry Potter at 7am.

The new book – the fifth in the series – follows the progress of Harry, Ron and Hermione now they are all 15 years old.

It's even bigger than the Goblet of Fire – and charts their progress through Hogwarts as the struggle with "raging hormones," as J.K.Rowling describes them.

The plot of the fifth book has been a closely-guarded secret, but all the leading characters are expected to make an appearance – Hagrid, Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and Snape are all expected to join the young heroes on the pages.

But there have also been dark rumours of more unhappiness – including the possibility of another death.

And fans can be fairly sure that the Dark Lord Voldemort will make his evil presence felt.

After the Order of the Phoenix, J.K Rowling is planning to write two more Harry Potter books which will bring him to the end of his career at Hogwarts.

Although they aren't fully written yet, the last chapter of the last book has already been completed and is safe in a bank vault in Edinburgh.

It will be a few years before we are able to read that.

As the new book hits the shops, filming is continuing on the third Harry Potter movie – the Prisoner of Azkaban.

That is starring the usual suspects and is currently being shot in the Scottish highlands.
