POWER for dozens of homeowners is back on after they were left without electricity for nearly two days.

The lights went out on 42 EDF Energy Networks customers on Sunday morning and power wasn't fully restored to all of them until last night.

The cut was down to a fault in an underground cable supplying power to homes in the Woodbridge Road and Lacey Street area of Ipswich. EDF apologised to customers who waited nearly two days for energy to be restored.
