THOUSANDS of homes were left without power for a short period of time this evening.
Power to 3,492 homes in the Lawford, Manningtree and Brantham areas was disrupted at about 9.06pm due to a fault on a high voltage overhead network.
Power was restored to 1,599 homes by 9.12pm and to 1,892 by 9.16pm.
A spokeswoman for EDF Energy said: “We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
