AN electrical blackout hit 1,500 properties in Ipswich tonight.
Power was cut off at 6.46pm but was restored to 1,110 customers by 7.27pm.
EDF Energy Networks said they were working to reconnect the remaining supplies as swiftly as possible
The problems were caused by a fault on the underground network.
Some other customers twice experienced a loss of power for just a few seconds as the local supply was restored.
A spokesman for EDF apologised for the inconvenience.
