Hundreds of homes in villages on the outskirts of Ipswich are currently being affected by a power cut.
UK Power Networks turned off the electricity supply to 27 homes in Grundisburgh at around 11.30am today after discovering a fault had occurred in an underground electricity cable.
A further 328 customers in Claydon have been affected by a second outage, which was announced at around 3.50pm.
A UK Power Networks spokeswoman said: “Two separate cable faults are affecting customers in the Coddenham and Grundisburgh areas near Ipswich.
“We currently have 27 customers off supply in Grundisburgh following an underground cable fault and 328 customers affected by an overhead line fault.
“We would like to reassure our customers that we are working as quickly and safely as we can to restore their power and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
