Power returned to Suffolk homes
POWER has today been restored to homes in Suffolk which were without electricity for more than 20 hours.

More than 500 houses and businesses and East Bergholt and Stratford St Mary were left without power at just after 8am yesterday, and in 65 of those properties power was not restored until the early hours of this morning.
A spokeswoman for EDF Energy said: “A fault interrupted power to 569 customers in East Bergholt and Stratford St Mary at 8.03am.
“EDF Energy Networks engineers restored supplies to 383 customers between 9.39am and 12.32pm.
“EDF Energy Networks engineers worked throughout the night to reconnect supplies to a further 121 customers at 7.30pm yesterday and to the remaining 65 customers between 12.15am and 4.20am this morning.
“We now believe the fault was caused by third party damage to one of our underground cables.
