Prisoner fails to return after day out
POLICE are appealing for help to trace a Highpoint prisoner who failed to return to jail yesterday after a day's temporary leave.

POLICE are appealing for help to trace a Highpoint prisoner who failed to return to jail yesterday after a day's temporary leave.
Taz Bashir, 30, who was serving eight years for aggravated burglary, burglary, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle, was granted leave to meet members of his family at Linton in Cambridgeshire.
He was due to return to the Suffolk prison by 4.15pm but has so far failed to return.
Bashir is described as of Asian appearance, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with short brown hair, he also has a scar on his right cheek. He previously lived in Berkshire and has connections there.
If anyone sees Bashir they should phone the police with the details.
