TRADING standards officers appealed for help from the public today after a lorry spilt its load of chicken carcasses over a major road.

The Suffolk County Council officers urged motorists who saw the chickens being spilt from the lorry as it drove along the A140 at Thwaite last Friday to come forward.

Carcasses littered the carriageway for about 200 metres and caused delays for most of the afternoon.

An investigation has been launched into how the carcasses fell from the lorry. Anyone with information should call 01473 584 368.
