Pub festival draws the crowds
CROWDS flocked to their local in Trimley St Mary for a fun packed summer music day this weekend.
CROWDS flocked to their local in Trimley St Mary for a fun packed summer music day this weekend.
At the Three Mariners pub around 400 people turned out on Saturday to enjoy live music from nine local bands.
Pensioners to toddlers came along to the event, enjoying the entertainment in the bright sunshine.
Topping the line-up were Kudos, Ten2Two, Silk and Steel, Aim for Second Place, Watershed, Crab Meat Moon, Noisy Neighbours and Red Hot Radiators.
The day, hosted by landlady Debbie Atkinson, was the second of its kind to raise money for Autism Suffolk.
Mrs Atkinson said the event had been “excellent, a huge success.”

“I never knew so many people lived in Felixstowe,” she said. “The bands were brilliant and the place was packed out absolutely heaving, we must have had about 400 people turn up.”
Judging by the popularity of the event Mrs Atkinson hopes they have raised more than the �1,500 at last year's event.
