A public meeting called to discuss a proposed travellers’ site has been rescheduled.

The event in Claydon, which had been scheduled for last night, had to be called off after “more than 200 people” turned up, according to John Williams, the meeting’s chairman.

The meeting was to examine plans for a travellers’ site off Church Lane in the village near Ipswich.

Mr Williams said the event will now be held at Claydon High School’s Main Hall tomorrow from 7pm.
