Bakers, fitness instructors, doctors, jockeys, and even a Lego designer filled the classrooms at an Ipswich primary school to celebrate the last day of its careers week.
Pupils were asked to come to Piper’s Vale Community Primary School dressed as the person they want to be when they grow up to mark the end of a week-long initiative that aimed to prepare the youngsters for the world of work.
The children enjoyed talks from professionals working in different fields including an artist, a farmer and firefighters equipped with their fire engine.
Throughout the week the school also ran workshops on how to search for a job, how to write a CV and how to act in an interview.
Deputy headteacher, Katie Butler, said: “Our school motto is ‘aspire for greatness’, so we wanted to let the children see what sort of jobs are available to them and the importance of school and education in getting chosen for those jobs in the future.”
