Arriving in limousines, a Porsche and a Bentley, students from Holywells High enjoyed a leaving party with a difference – the school's first ever prom night of its kind.
About 50 16-year-olds attended the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Ipswich, for a disco and buffet.
They also enjoyed a welcome drink from the hotel, and a photoshoot.
"The really went to town for it," said proud head of year 11 Jacqueline Stevenson , adding that seeing students blossom was one of the real rewards of teaching.
She said: "We have had discos on site before, but never a prom night quite like this."
