DETECTIVES are today continuing to question four people in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl whose burning body was found dumped in a country lane.
Magistrates granted Essex Police an extra 36 hours to interview three teenage girls and a man of 20 about the death of Debra Carne, from Sible Hedingham.
A post-mortem examination revealed Miss Carne had been asphyxiated before her body was set alight.
She was found by passers-by in Dyne's Hall Road just outside Castle Hedingham late on Sunday evening.
