RADIO presenters Mark Murphy and Lesley Dolphin have tied the knot in Las Vegas as relatives across the UK watched the ceremony on the Internet.

The BBC Radio Suffolk stars were married in the Magnolia Chapel at the Little Chapel of the Flowers at just after midnight UK time on Saturday.

But his brother, John, and mother Grace, 78, nearly missed it after John found he had to download a special programme onto his computer before he could pick up the wedding service.

"I took everything round to mum's and it said it would take one minute 13 seconds to download, but by the time I'd messed around it was 15 minutes and I thought we'd missed it," he said.

Thankfully the machine gave them access to the right site with just a few seconds to spare, as they watched on the computer screen along with John's wife, Christina, their daughters Emma, 17, and Claire, 13, plus Emma's boyfriend, Chris.

At the same time other relatives in Manchester and Mark's auntie and her family, the Walkers, in Plymouth, were also watching the ceremony via the Internet.

They saw the bride, dressed in a simple white dress and carrying a posy of white and red flowers say "I do" to Mark, and John said there were a few tears among the watchers.

The newly weds are due to arrive back in England late this afternoon and Mark will be back on his regular morning show tomorrow.

They plan to have their wedding blessed later in the year, when all the family can gather together.
