A NORMAL rail timetable is expected to resume tomorrow after two days of misery for commuters on the mainline between East Anglia and London.
National Express East Anglia expects the repairs on overhead power cables damaged on Monday night to be completed by the end of today.
A reduced rail timetable is still in operation with only one line in operation through the affected area between Chelmsford and Shenfield.
Andrew Goodrum, Business Director for National Express East Anglia's Mainline, said: “I would like to apologise to our customers for the delays and disruption affecting mainline services, and for the continued reduced level of service. I am grateful for everyone's patience while Network Rail engineers proceed with the repair work.”
