Fundraisers in Ipswich can take a step back in time and support Cancer Research UK this September after the Ipswich fundraising group has laid on a 1940s night.
The vintage evening will be held at the Best Western Ipswich Hotel from 6.30pm on Saturday, September 16.
The night will feature a 40s-themed two-course dinner, prize draw and dance to the music of the Swing Machine Big Band. Those attending are encouraged to dress in their best ‘40s-get-up, with a prize for best dressed.
Sue Key of the fundraising group said: “We’re really looking forward to our fabulous ‘40s night.
“We hope to raise thousands of pounds from this event for Cancer Research UK to help fund more life-saving research to help more men, women and children in Ipswich and across the UK survive the disease.”
