RAM raiders struck in a quiet Suffolk village early today.

The general stores in Tye Green, Glemsford was targeted by the raiders between 4am and 4.15am.

RAM raiders struck in a quiet Suffolk village early today.

The general stores in Tye Green, Glemsford was targeted by the raiders between 4am and 4.15am.

A car was reversed into the door of the shop enabling the offenders to gain entry.

Two people entered the shop and stole cigarettes and tobacco before fleeing in the same car.

The red Vauxhall Astra was later found abandoned at around 5am in Headlands Avenue, Haverhill.

It had been stolen from Beech Grove, Haverhill overnight on Monday May 27.

The two raiders are both white and aged between 20 and 25-years-old.

Suffolk police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the raid or anyone who might have information on it.

They would also like to hear from anyone who has known about the whereabouts of the Vauxhall Astra since it was stolen, until the time of the incident.
