POLICE officers in Ipswich have cordoned off a play area this morning as part of an investigation into an allegation of rape.
The play ground in Rendlesham Road is being examined by specialist officers after an 18-year-old female reported being raped by a man in the area at around 9.20pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the inquiry is in its early stages and officers are due to speak to the woman, who is receiving assistance from specially trained officers this morning.
