FORMER pupils spanning 20 years of an Ipswich school's history will meet again at a reunion this weekend.

The old boys and girls from Priory Heath secondary modern, which latterly became known as Nacton Heath High School, are set to reminisce at an event in Ipswich tomorrow night.

Originally the former classmates got back together to talk about old times two years ago. The event was such a success that the organisers decided to do it all again.

And if last time was a more formal gathering this time it's set to be playtime with everyone letting their hair down.

Event organisers, and mother and daughter, Margaret and Claire Collison both attended the Ipswich school.

Margaret, 52, completed her education at Priory Heath secondary modern in 1964 and Claire heard the final bell at Nacton Heath High in 1985.

They are now hoping pupils from both their years and many in between will assemble at Ransomes Sports and Social Club, Sidegate Lane on Saturday.

Margaret said: "We had about 200 people attend the last reunion two years ago and we are hoping for a similar number on Saturday.

"The last event was a great chance for everyone to catch up and this one should be a bit more of a party.

"Lots of former pupils still live in the area so we have been getting in contact with old school friends and teachers."

She said anybody who previously went to the school is welcome to attend the bash.

The fun starts at 7.30pm and music will be played by a band of former pupils – Re-Mix.

Tickets for the event are available at £5 but people will be able to pay on the door. Proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle will be donated to Ipswich autistic twins Kate and Samuel Horsfield.

For tickets and further information contact Margaret or Claire Collison on 01473 411535 or Linda Cooper on 01473 729761.
