FELIXSTOWE'S Stage Door Theatre Company is to welcome back Suffolk-born Rebecca Darcy as director for the forthcoming production All Shook Up, it was today announced.

FELIXSTOWE'S Stage Door Theatre Company is to welcome back Suffolk-born Rebecca Darcy as director for the forthcoming production All Shook Up, it was today announced.

Twelve years on from when she last performed with the company, Miss Darcy is to direct the musical comedy due to be performed at the town's Spa Pavilion Theatre in April.

She said: “I am delighted to be accepting the challenge of directing this premiere production, All Shook Up, returning to my roots with the Stage Door Theatre Company.

“All Shook Up is a lively and light-hearted musical and I am sure all the Elvis hits will have the audience dancing in the aisles.”

Miss Darcy is a professional actress, singer and dancer and is the principal of two stage schools in Felixstowe and in Woodbridge.

She recently appeared as Dick Whittington in pantomime in Felixstowe.

Stage Door chairman Norman Lloyd said: “We are all very excited about this production and we are delighted to have attracted a director of Rebecca's calibre.”

Stage Door Theatre Company will be performing All Shook Up at the Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe from 23rd - 25th April 2009.
