Rehearsals due to begin for concerts

TRIANON Music Group starts rehearsals shortly for its first concert in 2002.

Trianon at the Movies, on Saturday, January 5, in the Ipswich Corn Exchange, brings together a number of music scores for both classics such as Oklahoma!, The Big Country and Walt Disney's productions, as well as films in the last 20 years including Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Madness of King George.

Trianon at the Movies, on Saturday, January 5, in the Ipswich Corn Exchange, brings together a number of music scores for both classics such as Oklahoma!, The Big Country and Walt Disney's productions, as well as films in the last 20 years including Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Madness of King George.

"Firsts" for Trianon include Four Weddings and a Funeral and St Trinians, with a score composed by the group's president Sir Malcolm Arnold.

Meanwhile, on the performing front, Trianon is busy recruiting new members for its choir and orchestra.

Encouraged by recent recruitment campaigns, the group however, remain concerned about introducing new string players, especially cellists.

While there is not an audition, there is an expectation that players will be of about minimum Grade V (Associated Board) or equivalent. Rehearsals are held in Ipswich and for further details contact either the Orchestra Secretary on 01473 612898 or the recruitment officer, 01473 215918.
