Detectives investigating the murder of Dean Stansby in Ipswich carried out anniversary checks last night, one week after his death.
Between 5pm and 8pm, more than 70 people were spoken to by officers who handed out appeal leaflets in and around the area he was stabbed.
Police were called by the ambulance service around 6.30pm last Wednesday to reports that a man had been seriously injured in the vicinity of Ancaster Road.
He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.
A post mortem examination confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound to the abdomen, and the victim has been formally identified as Mr Stansby, 41, from Trimley St Mary.
Three people are currently on police bail in connection with the murder.
A spokesman woman for Suffolk Constabulary thanked members of the public who had helped with the police investigation so far.
The force is continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the areas of Ancaster Road, Gippeswyk Road, Gippeswyk Avenue or Ranelagh Road on Wednesday, February 8 to get in touch reporting any information they have.
Police are particularly keen to hear from motorists who may have driven past the area during the time of the attack and who have dash-cams fitted in their vehicles.
