WALLACE the moggie was saved from cat-astrophe when firefighters revived him after a fire in Hockett Crescent, Tunstall.
The cat has now become something of a celebrity after being given oxygen by caring crews who plucked him to safety following the fire on Monday afternoon.
Normally used to giving oxygen to humans, the retained fire fighters from Saxmundham and Woodbridge carefully put the mask on Wallace's tiny face before he was whisked off to the vet.
Owner Gary Paternoster was delighted to have Wallace back who escaped unharmed from the incident, other than a little smoke damage.
If he had lost Wallace it would have been doubly hard for Mr Paternoster as Wallace's partner Gromit died a short time ago.
