A RESCUE operation was underway this evening after a horse got stuck in a water-filled ditch.Fire brigade water rescue response units from Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds were called to Reckford Bridge, on the B1125 road at Middleton, near Saxmundham, shortly after 7pm today.
A RESCUE operation was underway this evening after a horse got stuck in a water-filled ditch.
Fire brigade water rescue response units from Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds were called to Reckford Bridge, on the B1125 road at Middleton, near Saxmundham, shortly after 7pm today.
A fire service spokesman said a horse had become trapped up to its neck in water, and crews were working to free the animal.
