A RESTAURANT owner in Ipswich has today thanked his customers for their support over the years as he celebrates its 21st anniversary.

The Dhaka in Orwell Place has had its ups and downs since it opened more than two decades ago but owner Foez Haque is looking forward to serving the community for many more years to come.

A small gathering of friends came together for a meal and some drinks to celebrate the 21st birthday since opening.

Mr Haque said: “In business there are always ups and downs but we have had a really good year.

“I would like to thank people for supporting me over the years. I appreciate their custom and friendship.

“I have enjoyed serving the community for 21 years and I will do my best to continue this for many more years.”

The restaurant opened 25 years ago and Mr Haque bought the place three years later, moving from Bristol to run things.
