Were you at Thurleston High School in Ipswich in the 1970s? A reunion is being organised in June for ex-pupils who left in 1978.

Organiser Terri Clouting (nee Wheeler) said: “We have a reunion every 10 years - the last one was our 30th and now it’s our 40th. We’re just going to have a good old chinwag.”

The reunion will be held at the Rosary Club in Bramford Road, Ipswich, on June 23, from 7pm until late.

Tickets cost £5, and money raised will go to a cancer charity, in memory of a Thurleston schoolfriend, Gary Smithern.

There will be music from Andre Smith and a bar will be available.

“Last time we had about 75 people, and there will be people coming from different parts of the country and perhaps abroad,” Mrs Clouting said.

Organisers need to know the numbers in advance, so, if you want to go along, please get in touch as soon as possible. Call Mrs Clouting on 07513 329560 for details.
