A DISTRAUGHT couple have today put up a £100 reward for the return of their beloved puppty after becoming convinced that it was stolen.

Anthony and Pearl Woodcock returned to their home on Acton Road, Bramford, on April 4, to discover it had been burgled.

As they examined the house they discovered that some cash and jewellery had been stolen.

However, they soon realised that there was no sign their 14-month-old Lhassa Apso puppy.

Mr Woodcock said: "We weren't sure to begin with whether the puppy had been stolen or had escaped because the door and gate was open when we got home.

"But it has now gone so long without a single sighting of the dog that we believe he must have been taken."

The couple reported the incident to the police but because they still have not heard anything about the female puppy, called Lily, they thought they would offer the reward.

Mr Woodcock added: "We don't mind loosing a little more money if it means we get Lily back.

"My wife has been utterly distraught by it all. Her dogs are her life really."

Anyone with any information about Lily can contact Mr and Mrs Woodcock on 740188.
