An adorable huddle of penguin chicks have hatched at Colchester Zoo – and it won’t be long until you can visit them!

The keepers at one of the region’s most popular zoos have announced that a number of gorgeous fuffy chicks have hatched over the past few months.

If you’re keen to meet the baby penguins you may have to be patient, as they are currently still in their nest boxes – but should be ready to fledge soon.

The chicks’ keepers will keep a close eye on them during their early days, with daily weigh-ins to make sure they are growing healthy and strong.

They are part of two Humbolt penguin groups living at the zoo.
