IPSWICH: Drivers are being urged to avoid the Wherstead Road area after a four-wheel drive car destroyed traffic lights at the junction with Hawes Road.
DRIVERS were urged to avoid the Wherstead Road area after a four-wheel drive car destroyed traffic lights at the junction with Hawes Street.
The signals were destroyed during the smash at 1.20pm today when a silver Ford Ranger hit the post, leaving wires exposed and the lights hanging down, blocking the pavement.
The road has now been cleared.
