A MAN is fighting for his life today after a serious road accident in Ipswich.
The single vehicle crash happened in Anglesea Road, near the junction with Norwich Road, at about 3.15am when a blue Ford Escort collided with a brick pillar.
The male driver of the car hit his head on the window of the car and was badly hurt.
He has been taken to Ipswich Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk police officers have closed the road while an investigation into the accident is carried out.
