A ROAD which was the scene of a freak accident today has been re-opened.Shortly before 7.20am, a lorry driver struck a deer near Black's Piggery, at Bacton Green in Haughley, and when another car stopped to help, the occupant - who is believed to be from Ipswich and in his 30s - was struck by a third vehicle.

Shortly before 7.20am, a lorry driver struck a deer near Black's Piggery, at Bacton Green in Haughley, and when another car stopped to help, the occupant - who is believed to be from Ipswich and in his 30s - was struck by a third vehicle.
After the man was taken by ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital, police worked throughout the morning to clear the road.
