Word on the Street: What do you think about the roadworks in Ipswich?

There are currently roadworks on two of the busiest routes into Ipswich town centre - we asked people what they thought of them.
Eight weeks of roadworks have begun today, January 8, at the junction of Nacton Road and Maryon Road, near the Golden Hind pub.
This is due to the traffic lights being replaced and the junction being widened as part of the £5million programme to improve traffic flow into the town.
In Norwich Road, there are six weeks of roadworks while Cadent - formerly National Grid Gas - installs a new main near the railway bridge.
This means the junctions of Cromer Road, Kelvin Road and Lister Road will be closed while the work is carried out.
There will also be temporary lights near the junctions with Cromer Road and Ashcroft Road.
The work is expected to slow traffic heading in and out of the town centre and disrupt bus services.
