SUFFOLK: See parts of Woodbridge you may never have seen before this summer when the town’s open-top bus returns.
Peer into gardens behind the high walls and get views of the river and St Mary’s Church that never appear on the postcards with this popular service, which starts in Ipswich before arriving in Woodbridge.
The circular trips include stops in the shopping areas and visits to historic sights with 14 stops in and around Woodbridge, Melton and Sutton Hoo. Tickets last all day, so people can hop on and off as often as they please.
Marion Wells, town centre co-ordinator, said: “I’m delighted to see the open-top bus return for a fourth summer. Every year it becomes more popular and by the end of August around 1,000 people will have been on board – and they’ll have seen spectacular views all round Woodbridge.”
The bus runs every Thursday and Saturday from July 22 to August 28, leaving Ipswich at 9.45am.
